Who We Are

The CTE After-School Enrichment Program is an extension of Burrillville High School’s Career and Technical Education pathways. It was created to give CTE students the opportunity to apply what they learn in their programs in a real-world setting while serving younger students in our community.

The program is guided by our high school CTE teachers, who provide supervision, mentorship, and professional direction. They ensure the program meets safety standards and reflects the expectations of each career pathway.

Daily leadership is carried out by trusted CTE students who are carefully selected by their instructors based on responsibility, skill, and character. These student leaders apply what they’ve learned in areas such as education, biomedical science, engineering, business, and other fields to create hands-on learning experiences.

At the same time, the program is designed to support middle school students by introducing them to potential career paths early. Through exposure to diverse CTE pathways, hands-on activities, and mentorship from high school students, middle school students gain a better understanding of the opportunities available to them before entering high school. This early access helps them feel more confident, informed, and prepared when choosing a CTE pathway in the future.

This program is about learning by doing, building connections across grade levels, and creating a clear pathway from middle school exploration to high school career preparation.
